Tokelau Family Violence Training Programme in Porirua

A Tokelau Family Violence Training Programme - Kāinga Māopoopo will be held in Porirua over five full days of training between 6-14 July. Entry is open to practitioners and community leaders, including community members who may engage with Tokelauan families to prevent family violence.



The FREE programme is designed to be an informative, interactive and self-reflective training opportunity for those who are working closely with the Tokelauan community.


It applies a specific lens on the values and practices of people from Tokelau and will better equip training participants with an understanding of dynamics of family violence in Tokelauan families.


The programme will run over five days from Thursday July 6 to Saturday July 8, with the final two days taking place a week later on Thursday 13 and Friday 14th.
