30-second breakfast fix
• Spread a piece of wholegrain bread with peanut butter.
• Place the banana in the middle, then roll the banana in the bread.
• Kids can munch on this tasty breakfast on the way to school.
• Don’t like peanut butter? Use a little jam, honey or margarine instead.
Make a sandwich the night before so it’s ready to go in the morning.
Cheesy mite sandwich
• Spread marmite/vegemite on wholegrain bread.
• Add a couple of thin slices of cheese.
• Wrap and put in the fridge overnight. In the morning, all the kids have to do is grab it from the fridge as they walk out the door.
An old family favourite. Fuel kids for sport on this one.
Jammy banana
• Mash a banana with a teaspoon of jam (our favourite is raspberry, but any flavour will work).
• Spoon jammy banana onto toast.
• Tip: One banana will make enough topping for two bits of toast.
