Kiribati Family Violence Training Programme

A Kiribati Family Violence Training Programme - Boutokaan te mweeraoi will be held in Auckland over four full days of training between 13 and 28 October.

 

 

Entry is open to practitioners and community leaders, including community members who may engage with Kiribati families to prevent family violence.

 

The free programme has been designed as an informative, interactive and self-reflective training opportunity for those who are working closely with the Kiribati community and applies a specific lens on the values and practices of people from Kiribati.

 

It will better equip training participants with an understanding of dynamics of family violence in Kiribati families.

 

The programme is 4 days in duration

 

  •  Day 1: Friday 13 October

 

  •  Day 2: Saturday 14 October

 

  •  Day 3: Saturday 21 October

 

  •  Day 4: Saturday 28 October

 

The programme will be held in Manukau, Auckland. 

 

The facilitators will be Lydia Teatao, Tikutaake Teiwaki and Abanateuea Ioteba.
